About

I grew up in the Rhondda Valleys in South Wales where I studied Illustration before moving to the coast for a degree in Egyptology at Swansea university. As you would expect from living so close to the ocean, I fell in love with surfing and have spent every spare second since in the water. I graduated and moved to Penarth where I then returned to university to study a Masters in Archaeology at Lampeter before finally returning to the coast in Swansea where I now live with my lovely Mr, German Shepherd and goldfish. I am lucky enough to work as a full time artist, though this is a relatively new leap which i’ll document – at least weekly – here!

In the meantime, I surf, I dig, I play and I paint.. apart from that, I also consider myself a full time, professional daydreamer :)

I consider my life to be a wealth of fantastic friends, eye-opening experiences, inspirational surf sessions, health and love.. to date, I have never been happier.

  1. What an amazing life you’ve lead so far. How wonderful to live off your art – many hope to share that dream.

German Shepherds are wonderful – I’ve had them my whole life. :-)

    1. Thanks AnnMarie! It’s been a bit of a whirlwind so far, but everyday is a great adventure (not to sound to cliché). The ‘dream’ hasn’t long started, so I’m still working it out and living month to month on finances BUT, it’ll be worth it in the end. It’s all about expanding the audience and getting my name out there :D

      p.s – Shepherds are the best aren’t they! X

      1. Definitely worth it. In between subbing as a teacher, giving private art lessons and tending to my kiddies (oh, and hubbie of course) I’m trying to grow my portfolio as well.
Good luck and keep on creating :-)

There’s no handsomer dog in all the world :-)

      2. There’s always a world of things to do isn’t there?! But I did have a sneak peak at your blog just now and saw the Bubwamp and the paintings behind your family photograph that I assume you painted? It’s a catastrophe that you’re not solely doing your art! ;) Beautiful, vibrant and fluid. I do believe you have yourself a new blog follower and fan :D

      3. Thank you ever so much – I truly appreciate the kind words back :-)
Any paintings on my blog are mine (unless there is a misplaced Van Gogh ;-) )
I’m currently redesigning my blog to incorporate more art and my writing as well – and I humbly appreciate the follow
